Henrry O. Revolorio-DePaz, 27, was arrested upon his return to Greenwich and charged Tuesday, March 26, with kidnapping and sexual assault, said Greenwich Police Lt. John Slusarz.
According to Slusarz, a victim had reported to Greenwich Police that on Dec. 16, 2018, that she had been at a bar in Stamford when she requested transportation through a ride-sharing app. The woman entered a vehicle believing it to be her requested ride, he added.
Revolorio-DePaz, later determined not to be the driver requested, drove the victim to her vehicle in Greenwich. But before she could exit the vehicle, he allegedly sexually assaulted her, Slusarz said.
After the assault, the woman was able to leave the vehicle and drove to report the incident to the police, he added.
Investigators from Greenwich Police conducted a canvass of the area in Stamford and were able to obtain security camera video of the victim entering Revolorio-DePaz's vehicle, said Capt. Robert Berry.
After sharing information the investigation with other law enforcement agencies, a suspect was developed from past similar events, he added.
"Physical evidence from the scene was forensically tied to the suspect," Berry said.
Stamford Police also possess an arrest warrant for Revolorio-DePaz for sexual assault charges from a separate incident, he added.
Police are asking anyone who believes they were the victim of a sexual assault in Greenwich, or have information concerning the investigation is asked to contact the Special Victims Unit at 203-622-8030.
Victims of sexual assault may also contact the Rowan Center, a sexual assault resource center, in Stamford at 203-329-2929.
Revolorio-DePaz is being held on $250,000 bond. Heis scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, March 27.
